Space-man Studio is an independent design studio in Melbourne, founded by Lachlan Mackay, working across furniture, lighting and objects.
Our pieces are made to be interacted with. Objects that openly take part in a space rather than quietly filling it. Present, deliberate, and there for a reason. For us, how a piece is made matters as much as how it looks: the work favours raw and honest materials, chosen to age openly and carry the marks of a life used.
Alongside our own collections, we design pieces, collections and experiences for like-minded brands and creatives, bringing the same intent to their work as to our own. Whatever comes through the studio, the aim is the same.
